Advancing Career Pathways Regional Meetings in 2016-2017

Are you interested in discussing how to leverage change in career pathways systems? If so, join us at one of four regional meetings for The Advancing Career Pathways project.

Career and Technical Education (CTE) leaders and stakeholders from across the nation are encouraged to attend the meetings.

The U.S. Department of Education’s Office of Career, Technical, and Adult Education’s (OCTAE) Advancing Career Pathways project is hosting the four regional meetings in different cities across the country:

  • Chicago, Illinois – November 14, 2016
  • Arlington, Texas – February 7, 2017
  • Washington, D.C. – May 4, 2017
  • Salt Lake City, Utah – June 6, 2017

These working meetings are open to teams of 4 to 6 individuals who represent the different aspects of a comprehensive career pathways system within your state. Team members may include: CTE state directors, career pathway specialists, secondary and postsecondary state staff, adult education directors, workforce and economic development leaders, apprenticeship and community-based organization representatives and business and industry representatives.

Sessions will focus on how to establish cross-agency partnerships, overcome implementation challenges and address future goals.

All four meetings are open to teams from any state. To learn more and to register your team, visit:
