Invitation to participate: Community Colleges Australian Annual Conference 25-27 July 2017

5/5/2017

Community Colleges Australia (CCA) – the national representative association of adult and community education providers in Australia – is holding its Annual Conference in Melbourne from 25 to 27 July 2017. See this downloadable flyer for details.

This conference is an opportunity for American adult educators to connect with Australian adult and community education professionals, as well as to experience Melbourne, “the world’s most liveable city”.

The conference's line-up of speakers includes the Australian Government Minister for Skills, Karen Andrews; the Victorian State Minister for Training and Skills, Gayle Tierney; the head of the Australian Charities and Not-for-profits Commission; the Executive Director of Philanthropy Australia; Michael Lavarch, the Deputy Commissioner of the Australian Skills Quality Authority, Australia’s national vocational education and training regulator; expert practitioners from Australian community colleges; a Maori elder from New Zealand; and a number of noted Australian academics who have led this country’s policy development in education and training.

Conference organizers are hosting a welcome drinks and a Gala Dinner at two venues in Melbourne’s dynamic “east end”: the iconic Victorian era (1883) Windsor Hotel and the Citadines on Bourke Conference Centre.

The conference registration page is now live, along with “pre-conference Masterclasses” on Tuesday 25th July.
