NRCCTE at SREB researchers contributing to OCTAE-funded career pathways initiative

8/3/2016

The NRCCTE at SREB is working with Manhattan Strategy Group (MSG) and other partners to increase access to high-quality career pathways for youth and adults through a project funded by the Office of Career, Technical, and Adult Education (OCTAE) at the U.S. Department of Education.

Awarded to MSG and its partners in September 2015, the Technical Assistance for Implementing Career Pathways Systems Initiative will help states build career pathways that promote college and career readiness for youth and adult learners.

NRCCTE at SREB researchers James R. Stone, III, Robert Shumer, Marisa Castellano, Kirsten Sundell, and Chris Fuga will produce data papers, guidebooks, toolkits, and other resources to help states implement career pathway programs in four high-growth industry sectors -- computer science and information technology, energy, health science, and manufacturing.
