Abstract:

This podcast is focused on the National Center's study of career and technical education transition pathway programs that link secondary and postsecondary education. This particular study began in 2003, in the summer of 2003, and it grew out of a project called Sharing and Celebrating Exemplary and Promising Career and Technical Education Programs. This particular project identified exemplary programs and programs that were emerging across the country and were felt to provide very innovative ideas about CTE education. The research study that we'll be telling you about today has identified two of these programs. One is an information technology and computer information sciences program in the northwest region of the United States. The second program that we won't talk about today, but is part of our study, is a health alliance program located in the southeast region of the United States.
