Preparing Under-Performing High School Students for College Success

Our topic today is referred to both as early or middle college programs. These programs, we found as we prepared this webcast, are quite varied. But they all have the common core ingredient of providing college experiences and actual college courses for high school students. Taking such courses is especially helpful for students who have not previously considered college as an option. Success in these courses raises their aspirations. The core of an early college program is a partnership between secondary and postsecondary institutions.
